Heavenly Watering

LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 03: A woman experiences the 'Rain Room' art installation by 'Random International' in The Curve at the Barbican Centre on October 3, 2012 in London, England. The 'Rain Room' is a 100 square meter field of falling water which visitors are invited to walk into with sensors detecting where the visitor are standing. The installation opens to the public on October 4, 2012 and runs until March 3, 2013. (Photo by Oli Scarff/Getty Images)

I know my friends. I know some of you better than others.

Some need to read Ezekiel 34:26.  “I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there shall be showers of blessing.”

I know that some of you are in the “waiting room.”

Waiting for something to happen —

a relationship to be restored …

a healing to take place …

a sense of peace …

a steadfast faith.

You are waiting for “the shower” — whatever your shower happens to be.

So, from the pen of Charles Spurgeon, I say to you, “Look up today, O parched plant, and open your leaves and flowers for a heavenly watering.”

I like that.
